At Wyld Counselling Therapy, we offer a unique approach to healing through walk and talk therapy. We believe in creating a safe environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. Our walk and talk therapy offers a different kind of space for reflection and healing. We're here to support and empower you, allowing you to lead the sessions wherever you need to go. We believe we each hold our own answers, and that therapy can be an act of self-care - an investment in ourselves.
Our integrative therapeutic approach
Whether its your first time seeking therapy or you’ve tried before, our approach is unique to you, wholistic and forwarding thinking. Coming to therapy can cause huge fearful feelings to surface which is completely normal and expected, but what else is there and probably not recognised? - courage... bravery...."feeling the fear and doing it anyway" Dr. Susan Jeffers. Reaching out is a huge but powerful step forward in caring for yourself and investing in your health.
Since everyone is different, we will tailor our sessions uniquely to your needs. We will work at your pace using a Person-Centred approach, ensuring you always guide the direction of our therapy. To support your growth, we may explore Psychodynamic concepts to bring subconscious patterns into awareness, helping you understand their impact on your present life. We can also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, providing you with practical tools and strategies for meaningful change going forward.
If walk & talk therapy seems too daunting to begin with, we offer remote sessions too (online/phone/text)
Remote therapy offers a flexible and accessible way for people to receive support in a space where they feel safe and comfortable. Being able to attend therapy from home, your garden or another familiar natural environment can help reduce social anxiety and make it easier to open up and engage in the therapeutic process. Remote sessions also improve accessibility for individuals who may face barriers such as distance, mobility difficulties, busy schedules, caring responsibilities, or limited local services. Remote therapy can create a sense of ease and convenience while still providing a meaningful, supportive, and effective therapeutic relationship. All being well, you will do your counselling sessions in a quiet and private place at home, safe in the knowledge that your sessions will still be guided by ethical principles that would normally be adhered to in face-to-face sessions.
If this sounds like we would be a good match for working together, we can schedule a free 15 minute initial assessment.
Nature therapy - walk & talk
Engage in therapy outdoors, combining the physical benefits of movement with the emotional release of counselling. This natural setting can enhance clarity and reduce stress by using the grounding elements of the outdoors.
Integrative counselling
We blend various therapeutic approaches to create a personalized experience, focusing on your individual concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, post partum, grief, or self-esteem to name a few. You hold the reins in our sessions. We empower you to lead the conversation, ensuring that therapy addresses what is most important to you at your own pace. Remember, you are the driver, we are the support.
